mom and me

Thursday, August 21: We sent Nick on a fishing trip, sent Will to day care and spent the day together, just mom and Addy. After dropping Nick off in St. Cloud, we traveled to Maple Grove for shopping and lunch. We met up with Jodi and helped her pick out a suit jacket for her interview. We stopped at Target in Monticello for more shopping and supper. Our last stop was the Bounce Depot in Waite Park. We played for about and hour on giant inflatable slides, mazes and rock walls. It was a blast! What a fun day!

Having fun with cousin Ethan. Addy and Ethan found a chipmunk and fed it sunflower seeds. Grandpa holding Will.

at the lake

we had a great day at the cabin. Will played in the water and sand for the first time. He loved it! Although, I did have to keep him from eating the rocks and sand. Addy, as usual, is hilarious. I'm not sure what she was thinking while wearing the pink goggles in the photo. All I know is that she wore them around for what seemed to be the longest time. She really liked them. In the photo from left to right: William, 8 months, Wyatt, 2 months, and Addison, 28 months.

beached out

We recently stayed a couple nights at Mom and Dave's cabin on Lake Sylvia. Addy enjoyed playing in the sand and jumping off the dock. After a day at the beach, it was difficult to get her to smile. Sorry...the photos are sideways.

cousins

Will and Wyatt hanging out. Will is 6 1/2 months in these photos. Wyatt is less than 2 weeks old. Watch out, Will...you better be nice to Wyatt. He might be bigger than you in several months!

snack time

Here, Addy is enjoying one of her favorite snacks. Peanut butter on anything is guaranteed to be eaten. So what's new in Addy's world? She loves to make Will laugh but also loves to be bossy. She likes to tell him "Baby Will be quiet" or "Baby Will turn around and play" or "stop it, Baby Will." Will likes to scream in the car. This upsets Addy. She tries to scold him, but he just screams louder. It is quite funny...for me, anyway.

eating cereal

We started Will on solids at around 5 months. He gets excited when we put him in the highchair...and even more excited when he sees the food. He isn't a fan of anything other than rice right now, but we will keep trying. He just had his 6 month well baby check up. He is 16lbs 3oz and 28 1/2inches. This may not mean much to most of you, but he is in the 25th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. His percentile keeps dropping for weight, but Dr. Wigert tells me this is normal for breastfed babies.
